Activity: House indicators
This activity goes together with "Building a house". You can now ask participants to develop indicators for the different levels of the results chain.
| Purpose: | To digest the content by trying out to develop indicators for the different levels of results chains. |
| Participants: | 4 to many |
| Time: | 40-45 min. |
| Materials: | Flipcharts with the "house" results chains developed earlier Marker pens Post-its Handout "Developing indicators" |
| Process: | 1. Ask participants to get together in the same groups as were constituted for the "Building a house" exercise. Distribute the respective flipchart to each group. 2. In the group, participants are now asked to find indicators that fulfil the introduced criteria for indicators (SMART, etc.). Participants can write possible indicators on post-its for each level of their results chain and then discuss and select in the group. 3. The flipcharts with the selected indicators are then displayed in the room and participants can compare their indicators with the work of other groups. |
| Note: | Alternatively, if you did not do the "Building the house" exercise with your participants, you can prepare a results chain for building a house and then ask groups to work with this one. |
