| Purpose: | To digest the content by trying to develop indicators for the different levels of results chains for a peacebuilding project. |
| Participants: | 3-4 to many (work in groups) |
| Time: | 100 min. or more |
| Materials: | Results chains from activity "Results chain exercises" Post-its Pens |
| Process: | 1. If not done before, introduce the content about developing indicators to participants. (click here) 2. Ask participants to get together in the same group as for "Results chain exercises". Distribute the A4 papers that they produced when developing the results chain. The groups are asked to brainstorm possible indicators for each result, write ideas on post-its and stick them on the respective A4 paper. Allow sufficient time (ca. 45 min.). 3. Do a short feedback round in plenary (10 min):
5. Let participants mix: 2 group members stay in the group, the other two exchange with another group. This will be a conversation about the results. The "external" pair plays the role of an inquisitive advisor, asking why indicators were chosen and probes for whether they are SMART. (25 min.) |
| Note: | Alternatively, you could also work only with one of the results chains earlier so that indicators can be discussed in plenary. In that case, you could adapt the last step and use plenary discussion instead. |
