Purpose:To explore whether the conflict's system structure reveals a specific archetype
Participants:8 to about 20

Time: 45-60 min.

Materials:White board with system structure (see step 5)
Handouts with systems archetypes
Process:1. After a suffiently long break, ask participants your system structure from an "eagle's eye" perspective in order to explore whether the structure reveals a specific archetype. Distribute handouts that show the most common and relevant archetypes to participants.

2. Discuss ideas and finding of participants in plenary.
  • Do you arrive at identifying one archetype in the structure?
  • What does that tell you about the conflict?
Note:
This activity assumes that participants are familiar with the most important system archetypes. For more information, click here.
