| Purpose: | To introduce the discipline of systems thinking to participants |
| Participants: | 4 to many. |
| Time: | 35-40 min. |
| Materials: | Flip charts Marker pens |
| Process: | 1. Distribute handouts with definitions of systems thinking to participants. (Click here for definitions) 2. Ask participants to take some 5 min. to read the definitions. 3. Organise participants in small groups of 3-4 and assign them to write down what they learn about systems thinking from the definitions. They can note their ideas on a flip chart. Let them present their findings in plenary. 4. As a summary, ask participants whether and what kind of benefits they see for learning more about systems thinking (in order to motivate them for more). |
