| Purpose: | To explore participants’ expectations for this training session. |
| Participants: | Any number. |
| Time: | 10/20 minutes. |
| Materials: |
|
| Process: | I) Before the workshop, prepare a flip chart paper titled “Expectations”. Divide the paper with three horizontal lines, write a sentence on each part: I) I am here because… II) I hope that during the following days we shall… III) By the end of this workshop I would like to do… II) Invite participants to complete the first sentence (stimulate participation). Write answers of participants in the first part of the flip chart. III) Repeat the procedure for each sentence. IV) Review thoughts of participants and – on the base of the training agenda - clarify which expectations will be met during this training session and which will not. |
| Note: | This is a quick expectations’ collection that can be used when you do not dispose much time or just want to maintain a quick flow. There are other activities for exploring participants’ expectations that can provide a thorough exploration. In this activity, maintain open participation and do not explore thoughts thoroughly. |
