Hello Dafallah, I became a member some time ago, and I share what you say in terms of design. But what I think people starting this site had in mind when creating it was, to have some tools that have been produced from and for the field. You can search some papers and documents that were actually used in designing projects and real intervenntions in Conflict Transformation. It is like a very basic weblog but with specific information and data. Have a great week! Diego

Arms for sale

Arms for sale - at what cost? Sweden-based Life & Peace Institute looks at a business 15 times bigger than the global aid budget.
Arms production and trade is a lucrative business with an annual turnover 15 times bigger than the world’s international aid. But the profit of some is the loss of others. Resources that are used for purchase of arms instead of health care, education and food production bereave people of their most basic needs. Therefore it is fair to say that arms kill also when not in use. The journal New Routes latest issue (3.2010), which is just released, looks at global arms trade and its consequences. What impact does the arms trade have on daily life in South Africa, Colombia and Sri Lanka? Is it possible to control that arms do not end up in wrong hands? What does the arms industry have to say about these questions? New Routes is available free of charge online at www.life-peace.org. It is also possible to order a hard copy from the office in Uppsala or the Africa offices in Nairobi, Bukavu or Khartoum. The previous thematic issue of New Routes, looking at Extractive industries (no 2.2010) is also available for download on the website, or hard copies on request.

I would suggest that we rename the content chunk to "Communicating for peacebuilding in situations of conflict". The term risk communication maybe does not capture as much as I though originally what we mean here (after I have looked at some materials on risk communication). It would not change much of the content as we anyway did not really have something about risk communication.

A lot of specialists state that home loans help a lot of people to live the way they want, because they are able to feel free to buy needed goods. Furthermore, different banks present sba loan for different classes of people.

I think that Qaddafi's chairmanship of the African Union was different. He was colorful and spoke out withoun bothering of diplomacy, He just said what he though, no matter that other agreed or not. It is also interesting how he talks of traditional systems of governance in Africa (e.g. his support for traditional kings).
