How to cite sources

We need to agree on a common method to cite sources, be it book, articles in journals or resources available on the web. There are several ways that are correct, we should just choose one format. Do you find this valuable?

Fully agree on that. Any suggestions that you like particularly? Will try to stick to one, but it might be necessary to streamline after some content is ready. Also, for future contributions from other members, moderators might have to have an eye on that. This is another reason of course to set a good example by sticking to one :-)
